Your remote control may be one of two types. Each is identified by the way it unlocks: slot-style lock or tab-style lock. See the picture below the instructions to help identify your remote.
To replace the battery, follow these steps:

Place the remote face down on a flat surface
Insert the tip of a ball point pen in the left side of the security lock. Push to the right and hold
Slide the battery compartment open
Remove the old battery and install the new one (CR2032) with the plus (+) symbol facing up
Gently slide the battery compartment closed. It locks automatically
